This first one I HAVE to do, for a dear friend Odilis (who has been featured on the blog)  Last week while my girlfriends and I were having brunch, Odie pointed to a woman with high waisted and wide legged pants and said those never look good on ANYBODY, Nisha please tell your readers not to make this fashion faux pas.  And then that same day I saw this:

While the above picture is of an Indian actress in a jumpsuit, it kind of illustrates what Odie means.  To give you an idea of why this look would be a miss check out her in hit:

This is her the same week looking so much better (BTW how fab is that Masaba Blazer, it is currently sold out on Pernias Pop-Up Shop) While she pulled off the jumpsuit much better than I would have, it still was not flattering to her!  Unfortunately I saw a lot of Indian fashion sites actually thought it looked good, I guess that is the difference between NY and everybody else!

Moving on…

This week actually had a red carpet for the teen choice awards (a little young for me to get excited for), and it had some looks that were… CORSETS!  All images courtesy People.com

You might see this corset style being referenced as structured at top, but you get the point.  One thing I noticed was that all the girls were SOOOO thin!  Did you guys like the style, have a favorite?
