One of the major requests I get is bridal makeup, and giving advice about it.  The best way to go about it is to look like you, but just more glamorous or beautiful. You don’t want to look at your wedding pictures in a few years and think I have too much makeup on!

When people ask me about makeup advice, the first question I ask them is what features do they want to accentuate, or hide?  This should be how you shop for makeup generally.  When speaking to your makeup artist for the big day, you have to be vocal about how you want to look on your big day.  You know your face the best!  I have actually seen multiple brides use the same makeup artist and have completely different results, and generally it is because one bride was vocal and another was not.

Another question I get is about Indian bridal makeup looks.  I can tell you some Indian bridal makeup can look scary.  I mean way to much foundation, crazy colors of eyeshadow, and the worst is the gold glitter on all over the face.  Indian bridal makeup should not be any different than any other makeup, it’s purpose should just be to make you look beautiful.  Remember just because you have a blue outfit on does not mean you have to have blue eyeshadow.
