Alright guys, if you didn’t hear eyebrows are BACK in a major way. For those reading this and wondering, who cares, well for me this is one of the MOST difficult beauty regimes. I am going to show you why, through women who influenced my eyebrows.
My baby years:
This is Brooke Shields the poster child for beauty in the 80′s notice the eyebrows, thick and bushy!
Right Before Teenage Years
Above is a picture of Shannen Doherty who played Brenda Walsh on a very popular tv show called Beverly Hills 90210 when I was growing up. She had thick yet groomed eyebrows. I had not even had my first tweeze yet…
This is Kajol in a still from one of the most famous Indian movies of my generation and for Indians outside of the homeland.. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge She had a unibrow, and still does!!! Her eyebrows in this movie were probably the most groomed she has had. Here is the truth coming, all Indian girls at some point have a unibrow… I decided to get rid of mine!
Above is a picture of Mahima Chaudhary from a movie called Pardes, and about the time I started waxing my eyebrows. She was my idol with eyebrows, they were so perfectly groomed… which I later learned you could not get from waxing, so I started threading.
College Years and Twenties!
Ok here is a picture of a Pakistani model, who must have the most perfect thin arched eyebrows I had ever seen, and this is what I wanted my threading experience’s end result to be in college. At some point (like for a month) they were. Getting perfect eyebrows I have learned does not come only from grooming, but from filling them in as well. I didn’t learn that till my mid twenties (ALWAYS FILL IN YOUR EYEBROWS). After that I just was lucky to have even eyebrows, and left it up to makeup to make them look good.
This is one the hottest models and has become the poster child for beauty, Cara Delevingne. Notice her eyebrows.. from all that grooming now I have had to grow out my eyebrows.. Next week will tell you how I have been doing it, stay tuned!
