All fashionistas know that there are pieces in our closet that at time of purchase might have been out of reach, budget wise, but we splurged anyways. While cleaning my closets before the start of the summer I decided to put away a skirt very dear to me, because I wanted to keep it in mint condition! I bought this skirt in 2007 from a sample sale where I scored 3.1 Phillip Lim’s rosette skirt (2007 was his first ever runway show). I was obsessed with his rosette collection but it was out of my reach and when I saw this skirt I jumped on it. Truth be told I am in love with all of his stuff. It is so beautifully tailored with a flair that makes it stand out but still having a classic air to it. I thought before I stored it away I would share it with you guys. I took the skirt to the High Line on a beautiful summer day, below are the pics:
As you can see that this skirt made of lace, so it has been in “style” for the past couple of years. That is the thing about lace, when I bought it, I thought it was just ultra feminine, but when all designers were using the fabric or look it was in fashion.
P.S everyone coming to New York should visit the High Line. Every time I go I fall more in love with it.
