Thought I would do a quick post of me getting ready, some pics from my I phone, just the general way I go about getting ready.
This weekend I was invited to a casual get together at someone’s place celebrating a child’s birthday I thought I would go casual (casual for me):
I have recently been loving gold trimmings on clothes, it gives it such a rich tailored effect, and I loved this Zara blazer which I got on sale.
As much as I love that blazer I just don’t think it went with the shirt
As you can see the shoulders look too bulky with this shirt, so rather than starting with a whole new outfit it is time to change the outerwear.
Decided to change into the vest.
Just checking my hair and makeup and I am ready to go… By the way if your hair and makeup are not right, it wont’ matter what you wear or how you accessorize it.

Whoever follows this blog knows how much I love a deal. Thought I would share with you a deal I got on Cyber Monday. I loved my score so much I wore it on a cold night which was warmed by my sweater and a lovely meal my friend made for me!
I actually wanted that sweater for the longest time, and when I got it at 75% off, you better believe I was going to buy it! I actually did not buy this BCBG Sweater online but at Lord and Taylor, who had the deals in stores as well! The Barney’s bag has a bridesmaid gift from the bride who also cooked the dinner!

A night out after Sandy with heels on (can not be seen) and good friends after Sandy was just what I need. I am still catching up so please be patient with the posts!
As you can see I am not my usual self, my skin and hair have just never looked or felt worse. Hopefully that will not be true for long. I had a great dinner with friends at Catch where the cocktails, sushi, and dessert were delicious.

I wrote about Aruba in my last post, thought I would show you what I wore on the island! I actually had a dress code given to me for the first day, black dress, and was told that there would be sand at dinner….
Had to pic between my go to Tory Burch flip flops, or those bejeweled sandals from India!
As you can see there literally was sand at dinner! I obviously chose the bejeweled sandals! To be honest we all basically lived in flats while there! I had no desire to wear heels! The dress is one of my favorite black dresses from my closet so I knew which dress I would be wearing!

Last Sunday, if you follow me on twitter, you know that I was at a good friends baby shower. Before the event I had a dilemma of what to wear. It was at her mothers house and in the daytime. Thought I would share what I wore:
Let me tell you it was 90+ degrees and I was melting in that attire. I kind of wished I went more casual and left that look for the evening in an air conditioned setting!
