Williamsburg is just a great visual treat

While black really has no season in New York, white pants are definitely for summer (while I don’t agree with the white after labour day theory, you should be able to wear any color whenever), and since summer months are so few I am taking advantage of them!

Hey Guys,

I am finally back from a very looong trip!  I thought I would let you guys know that I will be posting more regularly.  I also wanted to thank all of you for following the blog even though the number of posts decreased.  Of course I will try to increase the number of posts!  Here is the first post since I am back:

Really this is in Gurgaon!

If you know Delhi, you know what an institution Oberoi’s has been.  There was a time that the coffee shop in Oberoi (before Threesixty) was the most happening spot.  When I heard Oberoi had opened another hotel in Gurgaon, I had to go see it!  When it came to the interior and architecture of the hotel, it did not disappoint!

I wanted to  thank all the reader’s of my blog.  This month I had the maximum number of hits on my blog so far!  I really feel blessed that what I put out there gets a lot of positive feedback.  SO THANK YOU!

When I saw the amelia tweed jacket by Alice and Olivia, I knew I wanted it.  Unfortunately this jacket was pretty much sold out EVERYWHERE in my size.  I lusted and used to imagine me in it.  Luckily when I was shopping online during the holiday season, I saw it on SSENSE in my size, and at 40% off.  I was over the moon when it arrived!   Here are some images of me in the jacket…

I styled the jacket with my favorite white button down shirt by BCBG Maxazria, American Apparel leggings, Stuart Weitzman booties, Miu Miu bag, and the necklace is from one of the SOHO street vendors of NY!  The photo’s were taken at dinner at Mercado on Kent in Williamsburg.  Here is just what the desserts looked like…

Cuff BCBG

Over the past weekend I had a Sangeet (pre Indian wedding night) to go to, the outfit I decided to wear was one that my cousin’s wife had made and I had instantly fallen in love with.  I had ordered it six months before I even reached India.  I had been dying to wear this outfit, and I was also dying to try out this year’s latest trend in makeup, the RED LIPSTICK!  I actually had no idea how powerful a red lipstick could be.  For example I had planned to wear some SERIOUS earrings, with this outfit (hence why the hair is teased and semi up), but these red lips seemed to take over my face.  I didn’t want to look too busy.  Here are some images from that night…

When I was in New Delhi and visited Shivan & Narresh I bought a necklace that I was dying to wear, and what better time than the holidays?

One of the best things about holiday party’s is you can really get a bit creative with your outfits.   Leave your pearls for the weddings, and get out those over the top accessories out, this is a great time to be wearing them.  Also your makeup can be a little bit more adventurous during the holidays.  I would love to see what you guys wear for your holiday party’s, do send me pics.
