Above is a picture of Sridevi and her husband and daughter from the Hello! Hall of Fame Awards.  This picture has been seen on a lot of sites, and while Sridevi’s Prabal Gurung outfit has been the subject, I was more interested in her daughters skirt.

I LOVED that skirt, all sparkly and emerald green.  I wanted to know where the skirt was from, and found out it was H&M (sold out).    I was shocked to see that I was more interested in an high street brand than a designer label.  I guess you don’t have to pay a lot to look good.  I also love the fact that her skirt is styled perfectly!

BY THE WAY Emerald green is the color for 2013!

New York in June means sale time! While I did not get to enjoy the sales as much I usually do, since I just got back from India, I did manage to pick up these BCBG pants on sale!

I don’t know why but I love this shade of orange!  Ahhh Hermes if I can’t have you, at least I can have your shade of ORANGE!

H&M And An Indian Wedding

If you know me, you know I don’t shop too many high street brands, but I do love H&M.  Sometimes you really find a gem, and in this case I found something that I could wear at Indian functions.  I wore this top from H&M organic collection from 2011 to one of the lunches at the wedding!

What I love about this top is that depending on how I style it, it really can be worn many ways.  In this instance I made it into a fusion outfit, which everyone loved and could not believe the top was from H&M!  I have also worn this top with a colorful churidar, and dupatta to make it an Indian outfit!

I wanted to  thank all the reader’s of my blog.  This month I had the maximum number of hits on my blog so far!  I really feel blessed that what I put out there gets a lot of positive feedback.  SO THANK YOU!

After H&M another lower priced clothing line has invaded the U.S.  This one has come from Canada!  Joe Fresh has invaded the big apple with orange.

While I have yet to see anything I want to buy, I can’t deny the prices are very reasonable!  Even more than H&M.  For basic shirts and sweaters you guys might want to check it out.

Black White and Tiger

I love everything black and white, and on top of everything I love strong feline symbols (I am a leo).

People loved the necklace, got compliments from everyone on it when I wore it.  I love strong accessories with classic combinations.

For those of you who read my blog you know I talk about a lot of high end designers.  Since it is a recession I really do believe you need to save money where you can, however I hate wearing clothes that I see everyone else in NY wearing.  That really does happen when you shop from certain stores.  The worse is if you happen to have a top or dress that your co worker might also have.  I thought I would share how to shop from high street brands such as H&M, Zara, and Mango without looking generic.  Continue reading… Continue reading »
