In my NYFW recap, I mentioned a trend for capes, what I didn’t mention was my LOVE for them! I absolutely adore capes!
What I love about capes is the old Hollywood allure to it, yet has a androgynous feel to it as well. I have a couple of capes, so I might not be buying them, since I already have them but what about you??

This week Chanel hiked its prices officially by 30%. I originally read the rumors about a month ago on MadisonAveSpy, and thought nah…… maybe five percent, or ten, but thirty is a bit ridiculous. Low and behold it is 30%.
While everything around me feels like it costs more (remember the day when 100 dollars went far?), this is just angers me. I have yet to buy a Chanel bag, but was planning on doing so this year. This dream now has been crushed since the prices are now even more unaffordable. Chanel bags were a reach before, a luxury that I could try to save up for, now Chanel is right along with an Hermes Birken. A dream that unless I beg, borrow, or steal will not be happening.
Since Chanel is now out of the question, I am on a search for my new “it bag”, which is not exactly affordable but might set me back on my credit cards for a few months, not a few years. On my shortlist are some bags from Louis Vuitton, Mulberry, and Miu Miu. I am leaning towards Mulberry, since it’s not spotted too often in NY.
