I just wanted to start off and wish all my readers Happy New Year!  I hope 2013 is filled with happiness for everyone!

I generally do not write blog posts on social issues but I think this one pertains to me and my blog personally, so I thought I would write some thoughts.

For all those in the world who know about the rape incident that happened in New Delhi this month, probably know it really hit people hard (myself included).   I have been asked by many people around me, why I still want to go to Delhi (Delhi has been a subject I write a lot about).  For the past two years I have been spending a lot of time in the city, and coming from New York many people question me of why I want to be in Delhi and how l can love it so much.

My last trip to India had very little Indian clothes shopping, however I did do some window shopping, and landed at Shantanu and Nikhil’s store.   Since I didn’t have a wedding coming up I was not tempted to buy, but I did put down this duo’s name in someone to shop for.  I loved their creations at their DLF Emporio store.  For brides going to shop in New Delhi, definitely stop by.  I hear they also have a store in Mumbai for people who are shopping in Mumbai.   Here are some images from this designer duo:

As you can see from the images above, their designs are for the more trendier bride.  I personally would love to see a bride wear them for a cocktail party or reception.

I know this blog has not been updated for a while, however it is not due to laziness, but attributed to the fact that I was out of the country for a very long time!   I know I could have written while I was away, but I didn’t want any of the posts to feel rushed and I wanted to give them the attention they deserved.  For one thing I went to a city that epitomizes what this blog stands for (in my opinion of course).  For the next few weeks the posts will be focused on New Delhi, and a little on my side trip to Mumbai.  As always I am going to be looking forward to everyone’s comments.  Till then here are some images from my trip:
