Happy Holi to all! For today’s post it’s just images of clothes I liked that were presented at Lakme in Mumbai. Unfortunately I could not garner enough patience to go through all the collections or even try to write a review of an sort.
With last weeks theme in mind, getting it all in, I actually keep looking at outfits in my closet that I will be storing in a couple of months. I actually realized that a lot of exciting events that were coming up were in the fall. I also realized that a lot of my dresses that I bought were for the summer and not the fall ( I LOVE HOT WEATHER). I actually had bought a dress from Theyskens’ Theory at their sample sale this summer, and never got to wear. I actually always have a baby/bridal shower, or even a birthday brunch in the summer which I thought I would probably use this dress for. That obviously never happened and since I have yet to wear it I decided to wear it for you guys in case I don’t get to show it off to my friends this year!
I also have yet to wear my new Epi Leather Alma Louis Vuitton. To be honest I am not a classic Louis Vuitton fan, but I am a collector of fashion and I LOVE red! I think this bag is actually sold out online, and not sure about the availability in NY, but there are a plethora of colors with this bag.
Also want to hear if you guys think I can wear this dress in the fall! Leave a comment, tweet, or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org! Thanks!
Dress: Theyskens' Theory Necklace: Shivan & Narresh Bag: Louis Vuitton
I have to say I liked Mumbai fashion week a lot more than Delhi this time. I just have one thing to say, while there were some good promising collections there were as many disappointing collections if not more. The pictures above are from my favorite collections.
When I was in New Delhi and visited Shivan & Narresh I bought a necklace that I was dying to wear, and what better time than the holidays?
The pictures were taken at Cafeteria, and we loved their background of numbers so much (we also love their Mac& Cheese known as MAC ATTACK!) that we went a bit nutty with the pictures!
If you want to see the necklace up close…
If you want to read more about Shivan and Narresh, I had wrote about them when I got back from Delhi! I think it is safe to say this STATEMENT PIECE will be styled in the future in many of my outfits!
One of the places I remember going as a child with my mother was Hauz Khas Village. In fact my mother has bought numerous outfits over the years from the boutiques housed in this urban village (yeah it is an oxymoron).
For the past few years the only time I have stepped foot in Hauz Khas is to check out my favorite boutique Ogaan. For some reason in this trip I decided one day to explore the village further (actually was killing time), and ended up doing some shopping, and found some great boutiques in the process.
