Oh When Will I Wear That Dress?

We all have a dress sitting in our closet that we are dying to wear, but have not found an occasion to wear it!  I have had such a dress in my closet for over a year!  With my best friends wedding this past weekend, I decided to whip out this dress that I was saving for a special occasion!

This wedding was in DC, and that meant that I had to pack everything I needed and travel with it.  Also that means to pack lightly as possible.  That can be hard, luckily my Henri Bendel’s bag goes with everything and everyone loves it.  I also am a person who can not be rushed, I generally take my time to get ready.  I obviously was running late but, finally made it to the bridal suite before the rehearsal dinner to see my GORGEOUS friend Tara and take some pics.  This absolute silly one is my FAV!

When you leave New York you have to pack as much color as possible!

I actually got this Calypso St Barth dress as a gift, and I loved it from the moment I saw it!  I actually have to say I don’t think I would have purchased it myself, because I don’t know where I could wear such a bright dress in NY, however I am so happy that it is mine.  It is such a PERFECT vacation dress!  I would have liked to pair it with heels otherwise, but as you can see I really did not want to wear heels on vacation!  Also as you can see that black clutch is worn A LOT, it really does go with everything, and I only packed one bag for evenings (trying to become a light packer).

It is AUGUST, which is crazy, seriously where did the summer go?  When planning outfits these days I am so into getting all my summer styles in, because I only have so many days!  I actually ended up wearing 3 summer styles from this summer to a dinner out!  I would not normally do this but summer is fleeting in NY!

I wore a lot of summer 2012′s trends which I would normally not do.  I also would not have such a trendy restaurant on my list to visit, but to be honest it really was a pleasant experience!

The cocktails were delicious (obviously you should be 21 or over)

Thank You God For Such AMAZING Friends (and it does not hurt they have great taste)

I am also going to do a disclaimer, those are not my real lips, and no I did not put anything on them, I actually had an allergic reaction which spread to my eyes, and throat later in the weekend.  I actually am suffering as I write this.

I am glad I wore that dress out which I absolutely LOVE!  I love the cut and the color!  It was a coral neon pink!

A while back I had read that statement earrings were going to be a big trend and when I saw these at Tory Burch, I could not help myself!  I think you guys will see many posts with these incorporated into them.
