This headband caught my eye because it reminded me of the post I had done about designer headbands. By the way this headband was a steal and can’t wait to wear it for a formal occasion.

Thought I would do a quick post of me getting ready, some pics from my I phone, just the general way I go about getting ready.
This weekend I was invited to a casual get together at someone’s place celebrating a child’s birthday I thought I would go casual (casual for me):
I have recently been loving gold trimmings on clothes, it gives it such a rich tailored effect, and I loved this Zara blazer which I got on sale.
As much as I love that blazer I just don’t think it went with the shirt
As you can see the shoulders look too bulky with this shirt, so rather than starting with a whole new outfit it is time to change the outerwear.
Decided to change into the vest.
Just checking my hair and makeup and I am ready to go… By the way if your hair and makeup are not right, it wont’ matter what you wear or how you accessorize it.

Whoever follows this blog knows how much I love a deal. Thought I would share with you a deal I got on Cyber Monday. I loved my score so much I wore it on a cold night which was warmed by my sweater and a lovely meal my friend made for me!
I actually wanted that sweater for the longest time, and when I got it at 75% off, you better believe I was going to buy it! I actually did not buy this BCBG Sweater online but at Lord and Taylor, who had the deals in stores as well! The Barney’s bag has a bridesmaid gift from the bride who also cooked the dinner!

It is getting COLD in NY. But it isn’t as bad as it can be (yet). I thought I would do one last (for this year) fall outfit post.
The first pic shows my hair super long (it has been chopped after this pic was taken). The back of this peplum top actually is sheer and has thread work on it. Another day you might be able to see it.

New York in the winter is freezing, which means I start hibernating. However I can be cajoled into Sunday brunch, so I thought I would share my style where everything revolves around my down coat!
My ADD down Coat
I generally don’t go too crazy with accessorizing except for boots and a bag.
Since my Chanel is getting repaired, I'm carrying my Miu Miu!
I also decided to style my hair curly.
As for the actual outfit:

Like I said NY winters are rough, and I am not a big winter clothes person, so my emphasis is on the hair and accessories. I actually am wearing a necklace from Amethyst in New Delhi which I hope I will be styling with other outfits to show you guys. As for the clothes, the shirt is the same Neha Dhupia wore, which has been making the rounds on Bollywood style pages.
P.S I don’t put my bags on little chairs usually, but the restaurant we went to Duo, had them for our bags (how genius). Also we were obsessed with their menu’s which lit up!

Black White and Tiger
I love everything black and white, and on top of everything I love strong feline symbols (I am a leo).
People loved the necklace, got compliments from everyone on it when I wore it. I love strong accessories with classic combinations.

For those of you who read my blog you know I talk about a lot of high end designers. Since it is a recession I really do believe you need to save money where you can, however I hate wearing clothes that I see everyone else in NY wearing. That really does happen when you shop from certain stores. The worse is if you happen to have a top or dress that your co worker might also have.
